Just what we needed

Last weekend we had visitors again, my nephew Jim Walter and his wife Nancy from Elkhart, IN. Seeing them and spending time catching up was a shot in the arm that we needed. We tend to feel isolated and insulated when we don’t see family for a long time. What did we do while they were here? Well, we ate. And we ate. And then we had a Super Bowl party. So basically, we ate and rested and then ate again. Jim and Nancy, you can come back any time!

Speaking of the Super Bowl, we invited our new neighbors and a couple of our pastor’s kids, in addition to us and our Indiana guests. What an exciting game! The most exciting part for us and our Kansas family was that the Chiefs won! Even though LeRoy played football in college, he has little interest in professional sports, so since this is one of the few games we (mostly I) watch all year, it’s nice to win.

The new 5th wheel project is coming along. The previous occupant had been a smoker, so cleaning has been a major occupation ever since we got it. Now moving on to next steps, like painting.

I’m not at all sure we’re going to accomplish everything we’ve planned in the next 6 weeks or so, but we’ll plod along and then, when we’re done for the day, we’ll make use of the hot tub! We just don’t recuperate as quickly as we used to.

Now don’t hold your breath waiting for the finished product, but wish us luck and pray for stamina and drive.

About 2010liberty

Retirement agrees with us! After traveling in our 40' Silver Eagle bus conversion, whose name was Liberty, since 2010, it was time for a change. Now we spend the winter in Yuma, AZ and travel during the spring, summer and fall setting the Pace!

We don’t watch a lot of sports either, but it was an exciting game for this Kansan!
I’ve been hoping for pictures of the big fifth-wheel project. I really like the new kitchen color.
God led us another couple to join the summer crew of GB camp hosts, beginning in June.
