After a couple of weeks of lower than we like temperatures, yesterday and today have been lovely. We are so spoiled! We’ve had company, LeRoy’s second cousin and his wife, and evenings had been cool enough this week that we were glad to have warmer weather for outdoor activities without wind and dirt. Last night we even had dinner on the patio! We took them to Martha’s Gardens for date shakes yesterday afternoon. They’re getting things wrapped up to be ready to head out but we’ve enjoyed them so much.

Technology has come a long way in the last 12 years. Just before we went on the road in Liberty in 2010, I got my first smartphone and that was a learning curve. LeRoy didn’t give in for several years, but now we can’t imagine how we got along without them. Any question about what a word means? Google. Where is the nearest gas station? Gas Buddy. What’s up with our friends and family somewhere in the world? Social media. We rarely feel left out, either. Yesterday, we got to see, by way of video, granddaughter Bailey’s gender reveal (our third great grandchild) back in Wichita. So exciting! My sister Mary Jo has not been well this past week, in and out of the hospital. Currently she’s back in, but we’re praising God for his work in her life! We’ve had a chance to talk to her and to her son Bryan, which we normally wouldn’t very regularly. Lots of prayers would be appreciated on her behalf.
