One of the best things about retirement is the freedom to choose. We choose what time to get up, what time to go to bed and whether or not we will work or play. This week, we chose work. The playset at the Northwest Community Friends had been looking pretty shabby and Adam asked if we would get it painted. In an attempt to stabilize it at sometime in the past, someone had screwed solid panels to one side and painted them with a surplus off white bargain paint. LeRoy took those off and made braces that hold it even more steady than those panels did and then we strained it with a redwood stain.
It looks like new now!
Now when the little children climb and play, we’ll know we had a part in it and that feels really good. I think we made a good choice!
