Riverbend Hot Springs

Last night when I posted, we hadn’t had a chance to take pictures of Riverbend Hot Springs. They’ve done a lot of landscaping work since we were here in September 2010 and it is a very peaceful setting.

That’s the Rio Grande you see. The pools all overlook this view.

The pools we use are called the Minnows. We were told last fall that these three were originally bait tanks, hence the name. Natural hot spring water comes into the hottest pool constantly and overflows into each succeeding pool, making each just a little cooler than the one before.

Nothing fancy here, but lovely warm water and a great fall view. There are private pools available, too, with the same view, just at a higher price. We enjoy talking with other visitors most of the time but this morning there was only one other couple taking advantage of the pools.

About 2010liberty

Retirement agrees with us! After traveling in our 40' Silver Eagle bus conversion, whose name was Liberty, since 2010, it was time for a change. Now we spend the winter in Yuma, AZ and travel during the spring, summer and fall setting the Pace!

Looks particularly inviting today Anne-Hutch’s temperature is sitting at a balmy 35 degrees. Glad you had fun!
