Call us Gumby

Flexibility is still the name of the game in Liberty! Today, we played fruit basket upset, I think. The fellow LeRoy had been dealing with until last night on buying the Jeep just quit communicating, so that is out of the works. The second one won’t have money until after the first of May. I got online to buy a ticket to fly our son-in-law Tim down to pick it up and drive it home. All was well until I clicked the “Purchase” button, when it told me the flight I wanted was no longer available at the quoted price. It had doubled!

After several deep breaths and much discussion, we made a few calls to try to find a place where we could leave it until we could get a reasonably priced ticket for Tim. Turns out, several of our friends no longer live in San Antonio. I don’t know if they’re trying to avoid us, but they moved without our permission!

Finally LeRoy found a friend in the Austin area, Paul Lawry, the man who is responsible for me starting this blog. He says we can leave it with him until Tim can come or after the second buyer (who also lives in the Austin area) gets a look at it. Phew! What a day!

We are staying at the Alamo Fiesta RV Park in Boerne, TX for the next 2 nights. Boerne (pronounced like journey) is just about 20 miles from San Antonio. We intend, God willing and the plans don’t change again, to take in the River Walk and maybe the Alamo tomorrow. After all, blessed are the flexible for they shall not get bent out of shape!

About 2010liberty

Retirement agrees with us! After traveling in our 40' Silver Eagle bus conversion, whose name was Liberty, since 2010, it was time for a change. Now we spend the winter in Yuma, AZ and travel during the spring, summer and fall setting the Pace!
