We’re in Yuma this week for an RV rally that should be very educational as well as fun. Nick Russell, a long-time newspaper man, has a publication called the Gypsy Journal that is published 5 times a year as he and his wife Miss Terry travel full time around the country. We’ve been reading Nick’s blog for several years and had hoped to get to one of their rallies after we retired. Well, we are here and ready!
We left Desert Trails in Tucson about 9:30 this morning and it took us about 4 hours to get to Yuma. The rally will be held on the fairgrounds here, so we’re parked between livestock buildings. Tomorrow we’ll go offer our assistance in any way they might need us through the week. The activities start tomorrow at 3 and conclude on Friday.
Each day starting Tuesday there will be seminars available at 1 1/2 hour intervals from 9 am to 5 pm. Each time slot has 4 or more choices, so we’re planning to divide and conquer! We should have the answer to every RVing question imaginable by the end of the week. Call and try to stump us!
Since there are evening activities also, I’m not sure how often I’ll post here. Keep checking!
