It’s just not right!

There’s just something that’s not right about this picture.

Terrific view, though!

We left Kansas to avoid the cold and snow and here we are in Gallup, NM with snow all around! We didn’t drive in it, though. The roads are clear and the daytime temperatures are pretty good. And you’ll notice the picture doesn’t show Liberty sitting in the snow. We’d have to go outside to do that! These were taken through the window of our nice warm bedroom. The KOA here has great pull-through slots with 50 amp hookups that accommodate big rigs like ours, so we got through the night very well. Robert had posted on Facebook that the temp in Clarksville, TN was 12 degrees this morning, but we’re in the upper 20s and 30s. Later today we’ll head on toward Arizona and California. We’re going to Quartzsite, AZ and apparently there is no good way to get there without going into CA and coming back.

We’ve had our coffee this morning but we’re planning on brunch at Earl’s Restaurant here in Gallup at the suggestion of a couple of friends, both known to like good food. Service has to be better than the Denny’s where we at lunch yesterday at Tucumcari! The food was good, though.

About 2010liberty

Retirement agrees with us! After traveling in our 40' Silver Eagle bus conversion, whose name was Liberty, since 2010, it was time for a change. Now we spend the winter in Yuma, AZ and travel during the spring, summer and fall setting the Pace!

Greetings from Wichita! I went to Mom & Dad’s this morning to add time to their phones, and Mom told me about your blog. I have enjoyed reading through it this afternoon. I figure that, perhaps, I can keep up a little bit on my folks travels over the next moth as you may be traveling some together! It’s supposed to snow here today, so Mom and Dad were heading out in the Dragonfli around noon. Beware! Hope you all enjoy the rally! -Deb

You made my day! I smiled when I read your comment. It’s always nice to know someone reads this blog! LeRoy says now I have to post every day now, just so you’ll know what’s going on. It’s easier to do that when we’re on the road than when we’re sitting in Kansas. We don’t do much out of the ordinary there.

Well, we’ve got about that an inch of snow on the ground here in Goddard tonight and they promise more (maybe much more) tomorrow and temperatures to make Rob’s 12 in Clarksville seem warm. I’m planning on ignorning the alarm in the morning and making my way to work via the computer and phone rather than the road.
