Happy 2011 to you and yours! While we didn’t watch the ball drop, I’m sure it did. We saw the new year in with friends and family last night, a pretty mild crowd by any standard, but we had a great time. Any time there’s Mexican food included, I’m going to have a good time!
One of the wonderful things about being retired is flexibility. We had “planned” to be on the road west shortly after Christmas, but couldn’t get the bus in for front end alignment until the 28th. As it turned out, they didn’t start on it until the 30th and then found that Liberty needed major surgery. On Thursday, LeRoy and I drove to Oklahoma City for parts and then yesterday, the mechanics discovered they needed still more from the same source, which was closed for the holiday. They will order on Monday, parts should be in on Tuesday and we won’t be back “home” until later in the week. Fortunately, we have a daughter and son-in-law who don’t mind us invading their house and a granddaughter who gives up her bed for us. The benefit of all the delay is that the storms between here and Quartzsite should be over and gone by the time we’re ready to travel.
We pray that your new year will be a blessed one. Enjoy 2011!
Hi Anne and Leroy,
Hope Liberty is in traveling shape now and you are headed to AZ. This weekend will be very cold in KS, so I know you want to get back to the warm weather. I had a good Christmas. My brother Dale and his wife were here Dec. 22-27. India and I left at noon on Dec. 27 for Denver. We spent 5 days with my son Aaron and his wife Vicki. Now I’m back to the usual routine. Happy New Year (wherever you are).
Ann
Yes, Liberty is on the road to warm(er) weather. I’m glad you had an enjoyable Christmas!
