As we were driving around in Wichita yesterday, I said it almost didn’t seem familiar, but we decided there is really more of a detachment. It is good to be back in “home” territory, where we know where the best restaurants are, shopping centers, etc. We ate dinner last evening at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Taqueria El Paisa, and the frijoles al pastor were just as good as we remembered.
Today Liberty is in Oklahoma City (and LeRoy, too). She’s become a real low rider and no hydraulics involved, either. LeRoy drove to Jefferson Bus and Truck last night so that they could get to work on the suspension early this morning, as well as check hoses, etc. and make sure we’re in good running condition. I opted to stay with Heidi and her family overnight.
Believe it or not, we still have several companies that can’t seem to get our address changed so I’m going to work on that today, along with finishing up old business here in town. We need to meet with our property manager while we’re here. Someone told us this week that they thought landlords should have the right to just shoot deadbeat tenants and while I’m more of a pacifist than that, it would solve a lot of problems!
I’m hoping LeRoy will be back this evening, but we’ll see. We had people to see and things to do!
