Good news

Any other topic for today’s blog would be overshadowed by the news that our son Robert is home from his fourth deployment to Iraq as of this afternoon. We were eating lunch with friends when the text arrived that his plane had landed in the US, and about an hour later he sent another text that just said “Home”. We praise God for his guidance and protection for all our service men and women, but we can’t help being just a little more relieved that our own son is home. We’ll make a way to see him soon, I’m sure, but for the moment it’s nice to have him where we can call him instead of having to wait for his calls or Facebook posts. While those posts have been nice, we’ll appreciate even more hearing his voice.

God bless America and protect those who are fighting to protect our freedom.

    Anne and Leroy,
I have enjoyed your blog. I have a life-long friend who lives in Sierra Vista. Terry and I visited Judith and Jerry Halliburton about 4 yrs. ago. I really liked the town. So do they. We visited a copper mine (I think it was copper) near there too. It was interesting.
I’ll travel vicariously through your blog.
