Neighbors come in lots of different forms. Some of ours are older, retired folks. Some are younger, still working. Or working again, having tired of retirement or needing income. At any rate, ours are mostly transient and in the last few days, several have pulled in their slides and awnings, unhooked their utilities and driven away. One, however, just made our acquaintance today.
We’re calling him a grasshopper and we’re fairly sure he won’t hang around long, but isn’t he pretty? We have a bunny in residence, too, but he must be more camera-shy, because I didn’t get his picture.
A couple of our neighbors got to witness a first today; I gave LeRoy a haircut with clippers! Years ago, when men wore longer hair, I cut his hair with scissors but this is different. I even dreamed about it the other night, so it must have really frightened me. I shouldn’t have worried. It looks pretty good, and after all, LeRoy has always said the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is 3 weeks!
